Film Description

Sarah Lund is looking forward to leaving the Copenhagen Police Department to move to Sweden with her fiance until everything changes when a 19-year-old girl is found raped and brutally murdered. Along with Detective Jan Meyer they stay ahead of the investigation as it becomes clear they are following an intelligent and dangerous murderer.
In the second season, Sarah Lund returns to Copenhagen to investigate a savage murder when an ex-soldier who served in Afghanistan is savagely killed. Parallel to Lund, both the Minister of Justice and an escaped convict are also desperately searching for the murderer. They are the protagonists of a twisting tale of top-level cover-ups, betrayals and lies set in a time of terrorism-inspired fear.
