Film Description

Tom and Barbara Good (Richard Briers and Felicity Kendal) are intent on getting back to nature, being self-sufficient and reliant only on their garden (and a distinctly unreliable generator). By way of contrast, their well-to-do neighbours Jerry and Margot (Paul Eddington and Penelope Keith) display what amounts to a phobia of their neighbours' lifestyle - living as they do in suburban Surbiton. The Good Life is arguably the best sitcom to come out of the 1970s, and its simple appeal is timeless.
