Film Description

All three episodes of the BBC comedy drama Sugartown, about the changing fortunes of a Northern seaside town famous for its sticks of rock.

Shaun Dooley plays Jason Burr, whose rock factory, the last big employer in Sugartown, is fighting to stay in business. But when Jason's brother Max (Tom Ellis) turns up with plans to turn the town into a cosmopolitan resort, complete with coffee bars and designer hotels, the locals quickly decide enough is enough. Joining forces with exotic recent arrival Carmen (Georgia King), they pin their hopes on returning the town to its former glories by opening a new dance school.
