Film Description

A documentary that follows a number of top young British sprinters as they attempt to make it to the 2012 London Olympics. Made in partnership with Adidas, Personal Best follows four young athletes - James Ellington, Richard Alleyne, Jeanette Kwakye and Omardo Anson - for a period of four years as they pursue their dreams of qualifying for the Olympics in their home nation. As well as detailing the way in which the athletes deal with sporting issues such as injuries, training and the demands of competition, the documentary looks into other aspects of their life and examines the stresses and strains generated by trying to make it to the biggest sporting event in the world.
