Film Description
A romantic comedy drama directed and co-written by Tom Hanks, who also stars in the title role, Larry Crowne sees him play a middle-aged businessman who loses his job as the result of a corporate downsizing, and decides to go back to college in an attempt to find a new direction and jump-start his stalled life. There he bonds with his scooter-riding fellow students and develops a crush on his teacher Mercedes Tainot (Julia Roberts), discovering along the way that letting go of something good can sometimes make way for something better.
