Film Description
A man who has taken the art of dining to a whole new level, Heston Blumenthal is famous for his unique approach to food and his experimental style of cooking. In this series the contemporary culinary alchemist searches through age-old recipes, and challenges himself to recreate them as the food of the future. For each unforgettable feast he invites six celebrities to dinner, but they soon discover these are no ordinary dinner parties. Blumenthal goes to extraordinary lengths to recreate the Mad Hatter's Tea Party from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, bakes four and twenty blackbirds in a pie, combines a variety of animals to create a mythical beast that is part lamb, part goose, part hog and part chicken, stimulates his guests with ejaculating cakes and fashions an entirely edible scene based on the Christmas carol Good King Wenceslas.
