Film Description

A bittersweet, emotional study of love in later life as Inge, a woman in her sixties and married for 30 years, decides to begin an affair. Although happily married to her devoted husband Werner, she realises that their life together has become one of routine, and when a chance meeting with a man awakens long dormant passions, the pair soon find themselves in the throes of an affair. Unable to lie to her husband, Inge confesses, but is reluctant to bring her affair to an end. With Werner unwilling to play along, Inge is forced to choose between the man she has known all her life, and a new, uncertain future with her lover.
