Film Description

A remake of D.W. Griffith's silent movie, Broken Blossoms stars Dolly Haas as Lucy Burrows, a young Londoner who is the victim of frequent violent attacks at the hands of her alcoholic father, Battling Burrows. She befriends Chen (Emlyn Williams), a peaceful Chinese missionary who, on learning of Lucy's plight, helps her to escape her father, but the abusive drunk soon comes looking for them, intent on seeking revenge.
