Film Description
Six-film collection containing Scarface, Scent of a Woman, Two for the Money, ... And Justice For All, Carlito's Way and Sea of Love.
In 'Scarface' (1983), up-and-coming gangster Tony Montana (Al Pacino) arrives in Miami as a Cuban refugee. With his friend Manny (Stephen Bauer), Tony carries out a hit on a politician, earning him the gratitude of drug dealer Frank Lopez (Robert Loggia). Tony rises rapidly in the 'organisation', but courts disaster when he becomes involved with Lopez's cocaine-addicted wife, Elvira (Michelle Pfeiffer).
In 'Scent of a Woman' (1992), hard-up student Charlie Simms (Chris O'Donnell) agrees to a job over Thanksgiving weekend to earn some much-needed cash: he has to escort blind, embittered ex-Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade (Pacino) as he indulges the good life in New York City. Slade plans to eat, drink, make merry and womanise - but unbeknown to Charlie, Slade is also intent on blowing his own brains out at the end of the excursion.
In 'Two For The Money' (2005), Pacino plays top sports better Walter Abrams, who grooms Brandon Lang (McConaughey) as his protege when Lang seems adept at picking consistent winners in the high-profile world of sports gambling. But with millions of dollars at stake, Lang enters into a deadly game of cat and mouse as various cons and tricks start to unravel, pitting him against his former mentor in a battle of wills.
In '... And Justice For All' (1979), idealistic young lawyer Arthur Kirkland (Pacino) is determined to bypass the topsy-turvy madness of the US legal system and do his best for his clients. However, Arthur's idealism takes a battering when he is pressured to defend a judge (John Forsythe) he knows to be guilty of raping a young girl.
In 'Carlito's Way' (1993), Carlito (Pacino) is a Hispanic drugs boss just released from prison. Determined to go straight and move to the Bahamas with his girlfriend, Gail (Penelope Ann Miller), Carlito is tempted back to the wrong side of the law by his lawyer, nerdish coke-head David Kleinfeld (Sean Penn), for 'one last job'.
Finally, in 'Sea of Love' (1989), Pacino plays New York cop Frank Keller, divorced, disenchanted and coming close to retirement. A serial killer strikes in the city, attacking men in their bedrooms and it would seem that a woman using the personal ads is responsible. Keller teams up with fellow cop Sherman (John Goodman), who has also had a serial killer operating on his patch, and together they dream up the idea of placing their own advertisements in the personal columns, dating the women and collecting their fingerprints.
