Film Description
A feature-length documentary about rock band The Doors, When You're Strange is based primarily around footage shot between 1966 and 1971 by Paul Ferrara, a film student friend of the band's lead singer Jim Morrison. Also included is Morrison's own little-seen experimental short film 'HWY: An American Pastoral', shot in 1969. Johnny Depp narrates.
