Film Description
A typically meandering, bittersweet French-language comedy from Georgian director Otar Iosseliani. Severin Blanchet plays Vincent, a French government minister with all the trappings of power including a plush home in the centre of Paris and a shopaholic mistress. When he loses his position following mass public protest, he discovers that the simple, quiet life has much sweetness of its own. He moves back to his old flat, reconnects with his mother (played by Michel Piccoli in drag) and rediscovers the joys of lingering with friends in pavement cafes.
