Film Description
Writer-director Tom DiCillo's satirical comedy that deconstructs the Hollywood celebrity machine. New York paparazzi shark Les Galantine (Steve Buscemi) is desperate to take the shot that gives him entry into the big money. When he meets up with down-on-his-luck aspiring actor Toby Grace (Michael Pitt), he sees his chance for a snap of the latest pop godess K'Harma Leeds (Alison Lohman), who Toby had a brief dalliance with. Toby, happy to play along, becomes Les's 'assistant', and soon the pair are cutting a swath through the celebrity wannabees, snapping the good, the bad, and the overly grotesque. But their marriage of convenience is abruptly curtailed when Toby hooks up again with Leeds, propelling him to stardom, and leaving the jealous Les to plot his revenge
