Film Description

The entire collection of long-running 1970s LWT costume drama based on the lives of the masters and servants of 165, Eaton Place. Set at around the turn of last century, the landmark TV serial chronicled the lives of the gentry in one English home, contrasted against those of their servants below stairs. Interwoven with the dramas of the household were the historical events of Edwardian England, from the Great War to the Twenties. Gordon Jackson plays the Scottish butler, Hudson, and Jean Marsh (who co-created the series along with Eileen Atkins) the parlourmaid.
