I bought this pair of films to complete my collection of Fu Manchu films, which I enjoyed as a youngster, having read all of Sax Rohmer's novels. Jess Franco's complacent and incompetent direction make these films unwatchable (indeed I only made it half-way through the first). Poor post-dubbing from a foreign language and appalling continuity and lack of narrative drive make this an experience to avoid! Feels at times as though it wqwas cobbled together from bits left on the cutting-room floor from another movie. Hide
