Largely remembered for its classic car chases, which is a pity, since the film's main strength is in its take on the hero/antihero dilemma. None of the players have names, which heightens the detatched, spaced out feel of the movie.
Almost entirely filmed at night in vividly captured locations, "The Driver" is as good a portrayal of good and evil as you will see in cinema.
